What a lot we have had to deal with over the last year! And, whilst we have all managed to figure out how to do most of our jobs from our homes and via Zoom, there has been a gaping hole (for me at least) in our ability to build relationships with our customers. Spending time together, in person, to develop those relationships - both with our own people and with our customers - has been something that we have had to do with one hand tied behind our backs here in the UK. Until last Monday!
So, to celebrate the UK coming out of lockdown, Elevate hired out a big roof terrace in central London and invited a bunch of friends - customers and colleagues - to spend time together. In person. With food and drink. And even a few 'cautious hugs'!
The response was amazing. Never before have I had such quick and enthusiastic responses to a lunch! The great and the good of London's legal community all clearing their diaries out and all turning up within sixty seconds of the requested time!
Elevate only exists because of the fabulous relationships we have with our customers. And being back out with them again in person, after over a year, felt really, really good...
