About Me

A former practicing attorney, Warren is a Managing Director in Elevate Services' Products Division, where he supports Elevate's ELM development. Previously, he was part of Elevate’s Technical and Digital Consulting Group. A practicing lawyer for almost thirty years, Mr. Agin founded the ABA's Legal Analytics Committee, taught legal analytics as an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School and serves on the Governing Council for the ABA’s Center for Innovation. Prior to working with Elevate, Warren was a partner at Swiggart & Agin, LLC, a corporate and bankruptcy boutique he co-founded in 2000, and served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee.

At Elevate, Warren provides subject matter expertise, builds machine learning systems, and consults in the areas of data analytics, application of artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. Warren has also published multiple papers on the application of machine learning techniques to legal case outcomes in the bankruptcy field.

Warren authored the books Bankruptcy and Secured Lending in Cyberspace, 3rd Ed. (West, 2007)(the first book to discuss the use of technology in bankruptcy practice), and the Bankruptcy and Intellectual Property Deskbook (ABA, 2016), and frequently lectures on using machine learning and data in legal practice.
